CHECK LIST FOR VOLUNTEERS – we can make a checklist in Google Docs, so that volunteer can print it out and use it as a reminder for the things to bring and keep in mind. It can include the following:
DOCUMENTS:
- Passport
- Id card
- Driving license
- Youth cards
- Health card
- AXA insurance
- Emergency card with numbers
HEALTH MATERIALS:
- Medicines
- Prescriptions (translated if serious)
- Hygiene staff
ELECTRIC DEVICES:
- Mobile phone
- Chargers
- Batteries
- Laptop
- Mp3 player
ACCOMODATION MATERIALS:
(Here the hosting organisation can write what is missing in the house, and what they should be sure to bring)
- Towels
- Cups
CLOTHES:
(Here the hosting organisation can write extreme temperatures in their country, and what they should be sure to bring)
- Jackets
- Sky/Swimming equipment
- Special Shoes
Before you depart from your home be sure that you have:
- Finish all your work at home
- Say goodbye to everyone
- Make arrangements for your pets if they are not coming with you
- If you live alone made arrangements that somebody will check on your home
IMPORTANT:
- Keep your entire bills during your trip, store them and give it to the project manager once you arrive
- If there is a delay or any problem on the way be sure to send info to the hosting organisation
EMERGENCY CARD – we can make it as a small card, so that volunteer can print it out and take it with himself for travel
